Knit Picks

While I have a concentration of visual design, UX plays an important part in all my design work. With each email I make I consider what will be seen above the fold - and how the content flows while keeping a maximum width of 3-columns to ensure legibility and clarity. Typically I will design using a 2-column grid which allows for a stronger balance of visuals and text.


Emails:

  • Goal: Highlight a new product and promote a current ongoing sale.

  • Grid: Two columns to showcase call-outs and create an easy flow through the email.

Landing Pages:

  • Goal: Organize a typically educational set of information.

  • Grid: Two columns to ensure text heavy information is easy to read and understand.

In addition to emails and graphics, I also design landing pages. This includes creating mock-ups and working with a developer to finalize creation. Landing pages can be text heavy, so it is important that the information is organized in an easy-to-navigate form.
